World Suicide Awareness Day
World Suicide Awareness Day is September 10th.
Hey there, I’m Tracy and I have worked in counseling for 11 years. I began working as a School Counselor in 2012 after graduating with a Masters in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I then continued my education until becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2016. As the demand grew for therapists specializing in mental health services for children, I continued my learning and education with Play Therapy training at The Oklahoma Play Therapy Training Institute in 2017. I followed up by completing advanced training at The Encouragement Zone in Iowa in 2018.
With experience working in the school setting, clinical setting and day treatment facility for school-aged children I have started pursuing my passion of animal-assisted therapy with the International Institute for Animal Assisted Play Therapy. Thanks to the wide variety of training and experience, I utilizes a variety of counseling modalities to help children explore their feelings and emotions. My passion is to help children build emotional tool boxes with coping strategies they can utilize for a lifetime.
