World Suicide Awareness Day
World Suicide Awareness Day is September 10th.
Hi, my name is Emmalyn! I’m an LPCC who offers play therapy and animal assisted therapy for children and adults.
Originally from the east coast, I moved to Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I have a background in client-centered therapy. My approach to counseling includes collaborative work towards the client’s goals, empowering self-advocacy, and supporting self-worth. My experience includes working with clients through a variety of struggles and life transitions. I have finished Animal-Assisted Therapy level 1 training and have a goal of becoming certified in AAPT.
Outside of work, you can find me doing color guard and singing. My best friend Tilly (Matilda) is usually by my side, unless she is adventuring outside.
Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. When you’re ready, let’s get started by learning more about each other.
